PunchTap Privacy Policy
PunchTap is a personal Android time tracker. Your timecard stays on your device unless you choose to export it. PunchTap does not require an account and does not operate a server that receives your timecard.
Information stored on your device
PunchTap stores time entries, job names, hourly rates, overtime settings, reminder preferences, upgrade status, and contractor records locally on your Android device. This information is used to show your timecard, calculate estimates, update the home-screen widget, and deliver reminders you enable.
Google Play Billing
PunchTap uses Google Play Billing for optional one-time purchases. Google processes purchase and payment information under Google’s privacy policy. PunchTap receives purchase status and product identifiers needed to provide purchased features, but does not receive your full payment-card details.
Google AdMob
The free version displays banner ads through Google AdMob inside the app. The Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect or process device identifiers, IP address, diagnostic information, ad interactions, and consent choices to provide, measure, secure, and personalize advertising where permitted.
PunchTap uses Google’s User Messaging Platform to request and store advertising consent choices when required. An in-app privacy option is shown when Google requires users to review or change those choices.
Contractor records and exports
Timecards and contractor records, including client contact details, projects, work notes, expenses, manually entered mileage, business details and invoices, remain on your device unless you choose to export or share a PDF or CSV file. PunchTap does not operate a server that receives these records. Mileage is entered manually and does not collect device location.
You control where Android saves or shares exported files. Uninstalling PunchTap deletes app-local records, but does not delete PDF or CSV files you exported separately or transaction records retained by Google. Contractor Pack is a one-time purchase handled by Google Play. Existing contractor records remain available for viewing and export when new contractor features are locked.
Your choices
You can edit time records in PunchTap, manage advertising privacy choices when the option is available, and delete local app data by clearing PunchTap storage in Android settings or uninstalling the app.
Children
PunchTap is not directed to children under 13. Do not use PunchTap to record another person’s information without their permission.
Changes to this policy
This page will be updated if PunchTap’s data practices change. The effective date at the top shows when the policy was last revised.
